The Cricket Premier League (CPL), is a Twenty 20 cricket competition supervised by Baltej Singh Chairman & commissioner for CPL, and Director, R. S. Dandiwal.

It presently includes eight (8) teams (franchises) consisting of players from different States of India.

Once again, great ideas and intentions and have come together at the right time to create a revolutionary new tournament.In 2010, CPL became the sporting event ever to be broadcast live on the Tie-up Channels.To promoting and developing the game of T-20 Cricket in India at Standard level so as to provide the right opportunity to Domestic & Rural Area cricket players.

The Discovering Cricket talent,CPL is the ultimate access to reach out to the remotest corners of the Nation in a manner never witnessed before. Based on the revolutionizing and increasingly popular format of 20-20, it challenges the limits to appeal to every single person in our country. The platform of CPL will allow the raw talents to continue playing raw, only now, on a bigger platform. Players for the Eight teams would be selected by cricket professionals from the trials that will be held at 40-45 different venues across the country, the invitations for which will be through advertisements in the all the leading newspapers. The invitation for the trials will also be sent to the top cricket academies in India.This intensive selection procedure would also include stress interviews and an elaborate and extensive month-long training camp. If pursued passionately and persistently, this platform will lead their talents to unbelievable heights of success and adulation, transforming them into true warriors in every sense
